Cameroon - Banso Baptist Hospital
The letter outlined the difficulties faced by the hospital in caring for destitute people. The Cameroon Baptist Convention hospitals aim to provide "exemplary health care to all in need as an expression of Christian love" - this is their mission statement - but they do this with little or no government support. It is a financially impossible situation except to those "who expect great things from God". Fuller has responded with continuing financial support to the Chaplaincy team at BBH and to the Beryl Thyer Trust which finances a treatment program for children with Burkitt's lymphoma at the Baptist hospitals www.berylthyertrust.com. |
